Small Business Law
We act for Small to Medium Enterprises (SMEs) including resolving business disputes and advising on securities (mortgages and guarantees), stamp duty and land tax issues arising from transactional arrangements with third parties.
When setting up a new business or buying an existing business, it is very important that clients are advised on the best business structure. We will work in conjunction with accountants to ensure that the business model adopted by the client correctly identifies the correct structure and the correct business assets to be purchased or transferred. Each transaction raises its own unique characteristics. Pro forma contracts should not be used without proper review by us.
Commercial Litigation
We act for corporate clients and individuals in resolving disputes whether by litigation in the Courts or by alternative dispute resolution avenues.
Criminal Law
Beven Bowe appears in the Magistrates Courts for clients who wish to plead guilty to minor criminal charges and to traffic offence matters (drink-driving and licence charges).
We will instruct Counsel to appear for clients on more serious criminal charges.
